University of Bedfordshire,UK – National Lockdown – additional information for international students

Dear Student

University offers you a chance to grow. To explore, discover and define who you are right now and who you are destined to become in the future. To show the world exactly what you’re made of. To become bigger, better and more accomplished than anyone ever expected.

This is a place where everyone can develop their skills, enhance their knowledge and prepare for a professional career, while gaining a life-enriching experience along the way. The University of Bedfordshire is the starting point for people who are ready to make their mark and defy expectations.

Further to the University’s latest communication to all students by Professor Rebecca Bunting, Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive, this message provides further information and advice for all international students.

Please can all international students:

  1. Remain in your current location (whether overseas or in the UK)
  2. Access your teaching and learning online until at least Monday 22 February*

*The only exceptions are those students on critical worker courses. Please see the full list of courses with on campus teaching.

  • You are up-to-date with current guidance from the UK Government and the government of your home country on:
    • Covid-19 related laws, regulations, practices and procedures: for example, self-isolation, compulsory quarantine,
    • requirements of Covid-19 test results before your flights,
    • requirements of public health locator information,
    • respective travel bans/restrictions;
  1. You are aware of the risks you face in travelling:
  • exposure to Covid-19
  • consequences of poor Covid related compliance and/or UKVI compliance
  • consequences of poor online attendance or engagement
  • possible academic unit failures
  • possible referrals and resits
  • possible non-completion of your studies

We understand how difficult this situation is for you but this advice is to keep you safe and well. Please see further information for international students during the pandemic.
